Accelerating Gender Inclusivity in Cooperatives for a Sustainable Africa

ICA-Africa organized a capacity-building forum on the 14th and 15th of November 2024, under the theme ‘Accelerating Gender Inclusivity in Cooperatives for a Sustainable Africa.’ 

This regional forum brought together cooperative practitioners, government representatives, partners, and stakeholders to discuss practical ways cooperatives can champion gender inclusivity while advancing sustainable development across Africa. 

A major outcome of the conference was the development of the ICA Gender Equality Committee Action Plan 2025, a comprehensive guide designed to accelerate progress toward gender inclusivity within cooperatives in Africa.
