12TH TCAMCCO Advances Cooperative-Led Trade and Development in Africa
The 12th Technical Committee of the Africa Ministerial Cooperative Conference (TCAMCCO) successfully concluded in Maputo, Mozambique, marking a significant milestone in advancing cooperative-led trade and sustainable development across Africa. Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Mozambique and ICA-Africa and the Mozambican Association for the Promotion of Modern Cooperativism (AMPCM), under the theme "Empowering Cooperatives for Sustainable Trade and Supply Chains in Africa," the meeting welcomed over 160 participants from 24 countries alongside key global development partners like the FAO, World Bank, and leading cooperative development organizations. Participants established actionable strategies to position cooperatives as vital engines of resilient supply chains and inclusive economic growth, leveraging the immense potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to secure a sustainable future for the continent.
