The Regional Programme for Cooperative Development (REGCOOP Project) is a subproject under the Growing Resilience programme where we are working to enhance food security in Tanzania and Mozambique through the development of sustainable local value chains, with a strong focus on empowering women and strengthening the cooperative movement through research, advocacy, and capacity building.
Funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) through Norges Vel, the REGCOOP Project is implemented in collaboration with the International Cooperative Alliance-Africa, Tanzania Federation of Cooperatives (TFC), Mozambican Association for the Promotion of Modern Cooperatives (AMPCM), Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), and the Catholic University of Mozambique.

The REGCOOP Project seeks to address structural challenges within the agricultural value chain by leveraging the cooperative model. Key focus areas of the project include:
